The iliopsoas is a group of major flexor muscles located at the hip joint, responsible for stabilizing the hip and lower back during activities like walking, running, and standing. Prolonged sitting can cause the iliopsoas to become tight, leading to pain in the leg or lower back, often referred to as sciatica. These muscles can do a lot of compensating for imbalances, tightness, and injuries!
